It is MOLES not MOLARS.

Yes tickle is right.

1 mole of a substance has the weight equal to its relative mass in grams. You have the relative masses of elements in the periodic table.

1 mole of hydrogen atoms has a mass of 1 g, because the relative atomic mass of hydrogen atom is 1.
1 moles of hydrogen gas has a mass of 2 g, because the relative molecular mass of hydrogen gas, H2 is 2.

1.5 mole of hydrogen chloride has a mass of (1.5*36.5)= 54.75g because 1 mole of HCl has a relative molecular mass of 36.5 and there are 1.5 moles.

I hope it helped! :)

Btw, tickle, why is that greyhound holding his foot :p

How to convert moles into grams.

I always think of it this way.

As Unknown008 mentioned, the molecular mass -- also known as the molecular weight or atomic weight/mass for single-atom substances -- is the key. Molecular mass is given in GRAMS PER MOLE:

molecular\,weight = \left( \frac {grams}{mole} \right)

The key is to determine the molecular weight of the substance. Once you do that, if you have moles and wish to convert to grams you simply do this:

\cancel{moles} \,\times\, \left( \frac {grams}{\cancel {moles}} \right) \,=\, grams

If you have the mass (grams) and wish to convert it to moles, you simply do this:

grams \,\div\, \left( \frac {grams}{moles} \right) \,=\, \cancel {grams} \,\times\, \left( \frac {moles}{\cancel {grams}} \right) = moles

The entries in parenthesis, \left( \frac {grams}{moles} \right), is the molecular mass (molecular weight) or its inverse, \left( \frac {moles}{grams} \right).

Congrats guys, you just helped with a homework question:eek: (I guess, cause that is only what it can be)

I don't think he is holding his foot, unk, his legs are crossed and he looks very casual, as only a greyhound can, sitting on a rock.:D

I never saw, personally a homework question like this. Most of the time, the homework question directly ask to convert xxx grams of xxx element or compound into moles, or vice versa.

The greyhound looks sort of amazed to me :p
