I'm a dual citizen, US and Canadian. I live in Canada. I brought my US credit cards over with me and continued to use them and pay at least the minimum amounts until my sole proprietor business went belly up in March. I'm trying to settle with all of them with what little I've been able to cobble together from liquidating all my assets (down to one car, 401k, savings, etc.). Main question is can/are US credit card companies able to get judgments in Canadian courts against Canadian citizens?

Yes.
Thanks Stevetcg. Can you cite any examples or references for this?

Common sense.
Does visa, mastercard and american express do business in Canada? Does visa issue cards to Canadian banks?
If they have a business presence in your country, you bet the laws are there too.
Not to mention, you may or may not have noticed but Canada is pretty friendly with the United States and are pretty happy to help out where it can.
Im not saying it will be as easy to collect, but it can be done if they determine that its worth it.
