The heater lights up and the fan motors turn on, I can see all burners are lit but the heater does not go to the next step of blowing the hot air through the ducks it turns of and the timer led flashes twice and that indicates a primary limit circuit open error. This heater is 16 years old and in the past I have replaced the main controller board and the fan that you can see when you open the cover. Sorry I do not know the terminology.

Sounds like you have a blower motor or a control for the blower motor that is defective. If you have a thermostat that has a blower switch that says something like ON or AUTO turn it to on then the blower should come on and run all the time. This might get you by until you can find the problem part. It it does not turn the blower on then you will have to trace the blower circuit down and fix the ofending item.

NOTE: I post this to all folks that have your brand of furnace.

Please have your heat exchanger tested or checked by a professional. The company that built your furnace is out of business because of problems with the heat exchanger and other items. This can be a serious condition and at the very least a CO alarm should be installed in your home so it will go off when the heater malfunctions.

Replacement heat exchangers are not available for your furnace but some other parts are available from Texas furnace that bought all the scrap from the sale.

Thanks for all of the suggestions that I read on this site. I learned how to test and find out what was wrong from all of your experts who take the time to help people like me who do not have the money to afford a pro. After all of the testing on the blower motor, I Removed the controller board and it had a bad solder joint in the primary limit circuit and I solder it and everything worked. This heater that I was working on belongs to my mom and she did not have heat for a couple of days and she wanted me to let you guys know how thankful she was for you all to take the time and asnswer questions that other people post to try and help them out. Thanks a lot.

Glad you got it going. As heating professionals we do not solder on circuit boards because of the liability issue associated with doing so but for yourself as long as it worked that is all that counts.
