I just moved my rabbit in the basement for the winter and I went to check on him this morning and at the foot of the stairs I saw a large piece of snake skin that looked to be from my red tail boa that went missing about 2.5 years ago. I was wanting to know if that piece of skin was from that time frame or recent? I never kept his skin before so I don't know if it looses color or if it become more fragile. This piece of skin still has color in it and I can move it around without it braking. The basement is partially unfinished. We had finished it then the basement flooded about 3 years ago and we had started to repare but ran out of money. Then my niece desided to let my snakes go free and we only found two of the 4. my Red Tail Boa was about 5 feet long and very healthy and strong. Is there a chance that he might still be alive 2.5 years later? We live in the woods and we could have mice down there but we haven't seen any proof of that. Please tell me what you think! I would love to hear some good new about this snake he was my little angel!! But honest news would be best! Thank you!
