Okay now answer my question!
I am a 16 year old girl, I've been in very few relationships with high schoolers because they are 1. immature 2. have no respect & 3. can't even take care of themselves. I know the law of "age of consent" thing well wouldn't that mean the same thing to date? He is 22 almost 23 years old. That is 7 years apart.. I am of legal age to have sex with him [note: I'm not! Just stating!] then shouldn't it be the legal age to date him!

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. Especially when the thread is over a year old. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

No, the age of consent thing is specific to sexual relations. There are no laws governing an age gap in dating as long as it goes no further.

So yes it would not be illegal to date him.

On the other hand, I know you feel that boys your age and immature, but a 7 year age gap when one party is an adult and another is a minor is very suspect. The two of you are at very different stages of your lives. You are just finishing high school, preparing for college and one of the major transitions of your life. He is finishing college and preparing for his career and future.

In another two or three years, the age gap will start to narrow. The difference between 18 and 25 is not as wide and when it gets to 21 and 28, its almost negligible. So give it a couple of years. If he's still interested in 2 years then its time to start a relationship.
