I have RA and feel a bit fed up. I don't know if I'm just feeling sorry for myself because I can't get around like I used to.

I understand completely. I have had back AND hip surgery. I have had to get over having limitations. BUT, I am doing better than some. Remember that there are always people out there that are much worse than us.
It is always hard to live with not being able to do all the things that we used to, but we must be thankful for what we DO have. I hope this somehow helps even a little bit.
GOD bless you.

I also have RA. The key I have found is in accepting that some days are better than others and some days aren't.
Doing what I can when I can, but doing SOMETHING every day.
Keeping yourself moving and limber has got me where I am no longer eating pain pills daily. I walk every day, regardless of pain. SOmedays a block some a mile but some walking daily.
RA tends to float around so a yoga, or tai chi program that keeps all your joints limber may help as well.
I've experienced that changing my diet really made a huge impact as well.

Thanks. I know you're right. It's just that I don't mix with anyone socially and that makes it worse

IF you know what makes it worse, then you are the only one who can change to what makes it better. Go sit somewhere so that you are comfortable but around other people. Sometimes being social is just being around other people. Go visit an elderly person, they would love the company and be able to give you good advice on living with arthritis
