Hey, I'm a 15 year old girl who has just acquired new neighbors and when going to give them cookies and be neighborly, my sister mentioned that I babysit. My neighbors have a 1 year old and a 6 year old girl. The job goes from 3:30 to about 6:30. That's right after school. This means no staying after and stuff. They are currently using mud pies and butterflies as a daycare center and he says they are paying a fortune. He asked me what my pricing is and I told him I'd have to ask my dad... of course I'm not. Does anyone know a good price. I'm sure ill be helping with homework, cooking, and doing some housework. Any ideas?

Thx for the help :p

I have no idea what the going rate is, but for two kids, AND housework, I say $12 an hour. I know you will probably be eating snacks and stuff, but with a child in diapers and all the responsibility involved, that's a fair price.

My wife and I discussed this, and we would pay that price. The question is, when can you start? Just kidding, enjoy your new job.

We pay our babysitter $10/hr for 2 kids, 4 and 2. No housework involved though.
