Hi, I was put on probation at age 17 for possession of deadly weapon on school grounds and sentenced to 1 to 3 years of probation. One of my most hated aspects of probation is my 6am to 6pm curfew. I am now 18 years old and have been hearing that when I turn 18 years old and am an adult, the law changes and curfew is 11pm. Is this true? Should I ask my lawyer or does anyone have an idea? This is in California.

Ask your lawyer before you decide to change your curfew times. I lean towards the curfew hours not changing just because you turned 18.

No, probation laws don't change unless you go back to the judge and he changes his order.

Also 1 to 3 years, all probation I know of is an exact time, to the day, not open ended. Were you given 3 years with possibility of release after one year

Hello a:

Since it's your probation officer who's going to bust you if you're wrong about curfew, why don't you ask her?
