pretend this is a simple math problem... line it up...

X + Y = -3
X - Y = 1
--------------
2x +0Y=-2

Simplify

2x=-2

Divide both sides by 2

2x/2=-2/2

Simplify

X=-1

Now select one of the equations and plug in to solve for Y

(-1) + Y = -3

Y = -2

Double check your answer in BOTH equations

(-1) + (-2) = -3?? YES!

(-1) - (-2) = 1?? YES!

X = -1
Y = -2

You should have started your own thread, crystal_coreen1. And, read the rules first before posting. You should then know that you are not allowed to post your homework here. However, if you do, then you have to post your own part of the work, what you tried to solve the problem. We are not going to give you directly the answers.
