View Full Version : Low hot water pressure

I recently realized that the hot water pressure is much lower (probably about 1/2) than the cold water pressure. It's the same throughout the house. It's probably been gradually decreasing, but just became noticeable.

The hot water heater is about 7 years old. When a hose is connected to the drain, hot water flows freely, but there is no sediment. I turned the cold water shut-off valve On/Off several times to see if possibly it was restricting the cold water input. But no change.

I welcome your thoughts & suggestions.

Cheers, Tom

Leave the pressure on and open up the boiler drain for a minute. Is there a strong stream coming out of the drain? Let me know. Regards. To m
