I am British and live in the UK. Three years ago I left my wife. She threatened to change the locks so I could not get back in which she did a couple of months later.
A year ago we got divorced. She is living with our 21 year old daughter in the matrimonial 5 bedroom house which is in both names. My ex wife is refusing mediation and I can not afford a solicitor. Because of the recession I have not been working for over a year. I am heavily in debt and can not afford to have a place of my own; I am practically homeless. My friends are letting me stay with them for a while but I can not impose any longer on them. I want to go back to my house to live there until we come to an agreement about the house. What is the legally right way to do so? I do not want her to have me done for harassing her.
