Forgot to mention in last post that my drivers side door and passanger side window will not open. The button for the window on drivers side can put down the window but not on the passanger side and the auto door locks do not work at all?? HELP

Hello Spirit
An electric window has a small motor and a contact block
The contact block is the object with the button that winds up and down the motor
It is common for these to have a problem after a time
Have you loooked to see if the contact block is still connected to the passenger wiring - if a repair was done at some point the wiring connection could have been disconected
When you get the door panel off, and look for this, and if connected but not working then I suggest you move the passengers connector to the drivers side and press the button - this will help to prove if it is the contact block
If it doesn't move then there is a fault between the wiring and the passenger motor
However, the most common fault is the contact block is faulty and needs replacing, on the cars we buy and sell for my business, we replace contact blocks all the time
I have never replaced or repaired auto locks on a car (leave that to the mechanics) so hopefully TXgrease can help you with this better than I can

Huh? That sounds more like the entire mechanism of the motor, window frame and contact blocks
We usually get the contact blocks from a scrap dealer for a few quid (5-10 dollars each) and most the time they work and if not we can take it back to exchange for another
Even if we bought new, the block is like £50-80 each max, $150, but then would we buy new when cars that have been smashed up usually having working contact blocks

Hah :)
Again tried a scrappy? If the car has been rear ended then chances are the distributor still works fine, but you will have to ask TX if this is a good idea, for me if the part needed replacing we would fit a new genuine part

What I meant was find a car that has back damage, the front end is usually in working order

I have no idea, you will have to ring around and find out - different country equals different costs, and those sort of things are handled by my main mechanic so I have no idea what we pay
