Does anyone know what the montary cap is when working for a family-owned business while on SSDI? I know it's different than working at any other company but can't find the info anywhere. For instance, a wife works in her husband's company while drawing disability benefits. What is the most she can make before it's considered SGA?

Even if the wife works for the family business her earnings must be reported otherwise it is fraud. She needs to ask her case worker exactly what procedure to follow when earning any money while collecting SSD. There are instances where a person is allowed to work and collect money but it must be preapproved by SSD though. And the person is only permitted to work so many hours a week otherwise they are considered not disabled and the benefits will be stopped.

Of course the entire issue is disabled which normally means unable to work ?
