I signed my parental rights away to my two girls . They were adopted immediately. I had six months to keep in contact with them. When I finally could write them, it was too late. They closed the P.O box. I don't know if I have any rights but, I would think my 18 year old son, their brother would. I will be grateful for any help. [Personal email address removed for privacy.]

If you signed away your rights then you have no rights left. The only thing would be to go back through the adoption papers and look to see if it was classified as a " open adoption " which in your case it doesn't sound likely. The sibling brother has no rights either. He may seek contact but if it is denied then He must accept it until the other siblings reach the age of majority.

I just moved it. We must have been posting at about the same time.

Your question will be much more likely to be noticed and addressed by those who are best able to answer it in this forum topic area.

I did need to remove your personal email address from your post. I would hate to see you get spammed because it was exposed on the site. Plus, once a thread has been started, all information needs to stay on the thread so that others with similar questions might benefit by the information that's exchanged.

I do note, that califdadof3 has also provided an answer while your question was in Introductions.

Thanks!

It's true that you have no rights, legally they are not your children. Nor are they legally your son's sisters. So, if you know who adopted them then he can ask their parents if he can have contact but if they don't agree to it then he will have to wait until they are 18 as well.
