Lately, I've had some electrical issues in my car. I bought my 97 honda accord in 2004. About 6 months later, the lights on the stereo went out, but everything was still in good working condition, so it didn't bother me. This past year, my car would start dying on me sporadically, without warning. I had the battery replaced earlier that year, so I knew that was not the issue, but I later figured out that it was an issue with the ignition switch, which was recalled by Honda on 1,000,000 models that year.

Before getting my car serviced for the ignition switch problem, I pulled my iPod adapter from the cigarette lighter and it came apart. I was able to dislodge it and get all the pieces back together, however, after, both the cigarette lighter AND cd player stopped working. This summer, I realized that my air conditioning stopped working as well. Are all these problems related? Maintenance-wise, I take good care of my car - I do what is recommended by mechanics and everything...

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is it all related, or are they separate issues. Mostly, I just want my CD player or cigarette lighter (iPod adapter) back.

I think they are separate issues. First thing is to check the fuses for Radio and CIG LIGHTER and AC,

I forgot to mention, all the fuses have been checked and are OK.
