Please bare with me, I'm a bit of a novice here. I just purchased an older home. One of the first things (my father and) I did was replace a very old thermostat with a ritetemp 6030 thermostat. After installation, we ran the air conditioning and it worked great (never tried the heat). Over the weekend, it cooled off and I attempted to run the heat. When I cut it on, nothing happened. I adjusted the temp on the thermostat to make it come on and could here a noise as if it was attempting to cut on, but it doesn't. Here are the particulars about the furnace:
Brand - General Electric Gas Forced Air Furnace
Model # - BLU120E936B1
Age - 21 years old
I've checked the wiring for the new thermostat, and I'm pretty confident that it is wired correctly. I also checked the fuse for the main power supply and it is fine. I have had no issues with the pilot light, it has been lit the entire time. I do not have a book or manual with the furnace and couldn't locate anything for the model number online. I'm not sure if there is another fuse on the furnace or not that has blown. Any help/advice anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
