My husband turned off the main gas valve to reconnect a new gas line to my stove. The furnace will not light now? We can't afford someone to come out. He tried manually lighting it and nothing. The blower isn't on it won't light the pilot. Its an electronic ignition furnace. We turned it off including the breaker and let it sit for awhile, but its getting cold and it won't work. What may be the issue?

The gas line probably needs to be bled since it now has air in the line since you turned off the gas valve to work on the stove line. If you are operating on Propane be very careful. If you do not know what you are doing I suggest you contact someone locally who can visit your home and fix the situation.

We can't afford someone to come out

I understand money is tight but if you blow up your trailer playing with the gas line I guess the money problem will also go away.

Its not the lines, he got it to work by jumping it with some sort of ground unit thing. I have no clue what's wrong anymore;

I have no clue likewise since usually air in the gas line is the main problem when reattaching gas lines exposed to the air. Good luck.

He never reattached anything because he never unattached anything. Just shut the gas off. Stove works fine.
