The discharge isn't the issue. It's the crime that caused the courts marshal that resulted in the BCD. If, what you were convicted of is considered a felony in civilian law, then you can't be a cop because you can't carry a firearm. If it's a misdemeanor, maybe.
Even IF you might be eligible, will you get a job with a large city police force right off the bat?? No. You'll probably have to start with the Podunk, Mo. City force of three.
