We need to know the brand name. The type, one handle or two knobs and about how old it is. Thanks, tom

Hi Tom:
Thanks for the quick response. It is a one handle, a dial type handle to turn on and off the water. I see no brand name on any of the faucets in the home. If it is original to the home and it appears that it is, it is about 14 years old. I am wondering if I can tighten something, need to change a cartridge, do I need a new tub spout or faucet? In the interest of economy I would like to try and fix it myself before calling a plumber.
Thanks, Christie

Hi Christie,
Look real good for the brand name. On the handle, on the face plate. We have to know what we're dealing before we can help. As a rule changing the cartridge and flushing out the supplies resolve the problem. Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom:
The faucet on the sink says Kohler so I am guessing that is what the tub spout is. I believe Kohler has a life time guarantee on their products, however if I only need the cartridge perhaps I don't need Kohler. I have changed the cartridge on a standard sink faucet before but never on a tub. Any further advice is appreciated. Thanks, Christie

Without a model number this is the best I can come up with, (see image).
Shut 5the water off to the tub and open up the valve, remove thye cartridge and take it in to a plumbing shop to be replaced. This is the site that I located the cartridge I have put up. http://underbid.com/action/display/item/1054346349/sku/709352.html
Good luck, Tom
