My wife is working as J1 dependent. I am moving to H1 after couple of months. My wife boss want to sponcer her H1. I am planning to apply for green card once I get H1. Since my wife will be having her own H1, I have doubt that is she comes under my green card appliction or she has to apply on her own? Please explain advantge and this advantage of this situation or any website links about this.

Thank you

Even with a separate, independent, nonimmigrant visa status, she is still your wife and qualifes to apply as your dependent for permanent residence as your spouse. The I-140 is filed for you and both of you file the I-485.
