Hello,

The bearings on my blower motor are starting to go and I need to replace it. Unfortunately, it is so old that some of the relevant information has worn away from the label. Here's what I know:

Furnace:
Mueller Climatrol Oil Furnace model #227-80
Components seem to have part # 498-65

Blower Motor:
115 volts
60 cycle
Single phase
Fused power supply
~7/16" diameter, ~2-5/16" long shaft
~6-3/4" diameter, ~3-1/2" long housing
2-1/2 end caps that accept a mounting clip
Direct drive

I've spoken with some parts suppliers and they say they need to know its horse power and amperage.

Does anyone know these details or where I can find a manual?

Thanks,
Swade

Usually the voltage and HP are on a tag on the motor. Remove motor and look or look at furnace tag. Sometimes it is listed there. Probably a 1/3 to 1/2 HP

I have completely removed the motor and scoured it for this information. The tag there is torn and faded with age. It has no discernible information unfortunately.

There was some motor information elsewhere on the furnace but it seemed to apply to the fuel pump motor. However, the specs on that are:

1725 RPM
1/8 HP
Model #5KH39CG122Y

Take those specs and the motor to a supply house to be matched up and you are on your way to be back in operation.
