I've had acne for about 5 years now, and it's gotten worse and worse. I've tried everything and nothings working. I recently found out that milk and dairy products can cause acne. I want to cut them out (I've been thinking about going vegan anyway), but I don't want to be unhealthy either. I know I could eat soy products, but those are a lot more expensive, and I don't think my mom can afford those all the time, (I'm 15), I don't know how much calcium pills are either. Are there any other ways I can get calcium because I still want to be healthy at the same time as getting rid of my acne which I am very very very very sick and tired of.
Thank you!

Its just a old myth tbh, there's no way of telling for sure if that's true. It depends how your body works. Make sure you get plenty of sleep and don't eat within an hour you go to bed. Try steaming your face has come to be very effective for me, and the most important thing is stay positive!. with you worrying over night about them can be a big factor
... hope I helped :D

Everybody gets acne to some degree, some worse than others, and especially in teenage years-hormones. You should ask your parents about seeing your pediatrician for a medication. They will start with one of the weaker meds and you'll need to give it a couple of months to see if it helps. If it's not helping follow up with the doc and he'll probably keep recommending stronger meds until you find the one that's right for you. I work in a dermatology clinic and some patients for one reason or another that may chose not to use certain recommended meds end up dealing with deep acne scars (after the pimples go away) for the rest of their lives. And there really isn't much you can do for scarring. The sooner you treat the acne the better as far as scarring is concerned. Medication is what will get rid of your acne- it's just a matter of finding the right one. Over the counter you could buy benzoyl peroxide at your local pharmacy. The stronger the better. Also, oxy makes a face wash with benzoyl peroxide in it. The benzoyl peroxide can dry your skin though, so if you notice that happening don't use it that often. Good luck! And go see your doc!

I've been trying benzoyl peroxide and it hasn't been working very much. I've tried sacilyic acid and that doesn't help either.
I don't have a doctor, long story, my mom's trying to find us another one, but no one is accepting patients. And I don't know if this town has a dermatologist, it's pretty small. But even then I don't know if my mom would want to take me and all that because of money. I could still ask though, worth a shot right?

Has anybody tried St. Ives, Biore, or Aveeno? Those are the ones I haven't tried, I'm also thinking about getting Neutrogena Deep Cleansing. I'm just sick of trying stuff that doesn't work.

And thank you everyone!

Oo t I have the same damn problem, and I'm 15 years old too.

I've tried a lot of things and nothing worked at all, but when I've tried lemon juice on my face about 3 times a day It started to work but now that much. ( at least for them does work )
Try it if you want and let it stay on your face about 15min , 3 times a day.

Hope I helped.
