Hi-
I have a 10-year old Ideal Standard Ultra Valve installed to fill a bathtub. It is a push-button faceplate with electronic controls on the bath valves to control the water temperature and fill the tub

It is broken and the company that made it is out of business. When I bought it I was told it was also used to fill therapy tubs in institutions as the upper temp control meant no one could be scalded.

Does anyone have any ideas on something I could install to replace this without ripping out the tub to engineer a replacement?

Thanks!

Did you ever find a source for your replacement parts

Go here http://www.moen-faucet-warehouse.com/search.asp and search for iodigital by Moen. It may be a suitable replacement.

Yep, I know it's not exactly what you asked.

I did locate ideal-standard company here: Global website search - Ideal Standard (http://www.ideal-standard.co.uk/global-search.aspx?q=electronic+control)

Not sure you have to rip out the tub. Usually access panels are used. If not, they can be added.

What's the exact problem?

Can you take pictures of the valve and post using go advanced/manage attachments

We might be able to come up with ideas. Either put a ruler in the picture or measure overall dimensions.

Hi,

I have the same problem essentially.

Did you find a place that has replacement parts? Or indeed just a new substitute from a different company?

Also, does anyone know how complicated it would be to just exchange the entire system to a regular shower valve?

Thanks

Hi,

I have a broken Memry Ultravalve electronic shower valve (which I understand is the same as "Ideal Standard Ultravalve") I need to replace. Any ideas on where I could get it fixed/buy a new one/ buy a similar one (especially in the miami area).

Thank You

Dithermaster - how long ago was it that you had your control valve fixed? I tried the number and it is no longer in service. Do you have a name and number of the person who did the actual repair? Did they mention what was wrong with it?

I am looking for the same, ae ultravalve in Wisconsin is apparently out of business. Have you found any alternative.

That's the last contact info I had, sorry. He fixed my valve a couple years ago.

My control panel went out a couple months ago, so I replaced it with a microcontroller and control panel of my own design since the valve itself was still good (and fairly new, just having been replaced a couple of years ago).

It is surprising that there isn't really a reasonably priced alternative.
