Hi,

I have a cockapoo of 80 Days. I am giving him the best food available to me. I wanted to know how do I check if his growth is good.
Please suggest an ideal height and weight for him. If possible please send me a chart which would guide me to keep a watch on his health.

Tnkx

There is no set weight or height for a "cockapoo" as they are not a breed.
They have no set standard for what they should be, you could have a litter of puppies and when they grow up one could weigh 5lbs another might weigh 10lbs

And depending on which type of poodle the cocker spaniel was mixed with it could end up 10 inches tall or 20 inches... you will know by the time it is about 10 months old.

General way to tell if they are the correct weight is to put your hand over their back and rub lightly... if you can feel the last few ribs slightly then they are a good weight.

Many people make the mistake of thinking that feeling or seeing ribs is bad and the dog is underweight when in fact if you cannot feel any rib then your dog is obese.

No problem, I hope it helped you to find out if he is the correct weight or not, it's hard to give a definite answer with any dog especially mixed breeds.
Just keep an eye on his weight, you may need to change his diet/proportions accordingly, he's only young so at the moment 2 meals a day is what he should be having then as he gets older cut it back to one meal a day or 2 small ones.

If you have any other question just add to this post or start a new one :)
