How do I dye black hair to light brown

Is your hair naturally black or is it dyed black?

If it is naturally black then you will need to bleach it before applying a color.

If it is dyed black then you will need to use a color remover/stripper to get the black dye out and even then you may still need to bleach and re-dye to achieve desired color.
