My son got a felony D assault at the age of 17 he wants to be a teacher in NC.. He will not get out of Morganton until 2012.. Will he be able to go to school or can he have this taking off his record eventually or perhaps go in the military.. He was suppose to do that 2 days before he got in trouble.

The military IS taking felons, but not recent ones, and not all of them.. Apparently, your son hurt someone pretty badly. I don't think the military will take him.
