You'll need to send this to a Toshiba service center, as the normal home tricks don't work.

Read this. Toshiba Satelite 2450-101 - Tech Support Forum (http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/laptop-support/99860-toshiba-satelite-2450-101-a.html)
Seems to work for the guy.

I has client with a ACER notebook. ACER also said there is no way that I can recover it, I had to send it off to them.

Anyway, we all know that there is a battery that keeps the BIOS info. Removing the battery for about 5min will obviously cause the BIOS to loose it's setting but now they are clever, and solder a battery to the mainbaord.

Solution, use a small screwdriver or wire to short the battery for about 10sec and woala, the settings was reset.

I'm afraid this trick DOESN'T work on Tosh machines..
