I have a Arians zero turn mower that has a 16.5 HP Briggs and Stratton. The motor will start just fine and will run OK sitting still but when I start to move it hicups and sputters and if the grass is tall the preasure on the blades will cause the motor to loose power and sputter.
Please help I need to mow my 3acres badly...

Drain the tank into something. Take a small amount of carb cleaner and mix with gasoline. Say 2/3 cup gas, 1/3 cup carb cleaner. Seafoam is probably the best. Start the engine and run the entire amount of gas through. Don't try cutting anything.
It will probably work.
When you store fuel for a long time make sure you add Sta-bil to FRESH gas. I don't do it routinely, but I will start, for instance when I need to fill my can since we are close to the end of he season.
Run all the gas out of the engine when you store it for the winter.

Hi,
I would say it is running on one cylinder, if it is a twin.
Peace,
