I have a pellet stove in the kitchen and also have a ceiling fan (and others) to disperse the air. I would like to take advantage of the excellent heat given off by the pellet stove and install some vents or floor registers in the kitchen ceiling into two of the upstairs bedrooms. I am fairly competent with carpentry but have not installed anything like this before. Any tips, hints, etc. would be much appreciated. I will probably put one per bedroom and maybe one in the upstairs hall. I am thinking the stairway will act as a return.

Thank you very much,
Chrs

Hot air rises so just cut in the register. Now you might want to have a grill on the ceiling and also a floor register up stairs to make it look good. Remember you will need a good size register since it will be working on gravity OR if you look around there are some floor registers that have small fans in them that might work in your case. Look around on Ebay.
