Just moving into a new house and only lukewarm water is coming from all the hot water taps. Water at the water heater is extremely hot and so is the pipe coming out of the water heater. Why is the water becoming lukewarm when it travels 15 to 20 feet to the faucet? No one seems to have a solution around here.

Why is the water becoming lukewarm when it travels 15 to 20 feet to the faucet? If you have hot water coming out of the heater and you lose it at the first one handled faucet it comes to I would suspect the faucrt's got a crossconnection that's allowing the cold to mix with the hot and that's affecting the entire hot water system. To test shut the angle stops to the first faucet and see if that gets hot water to the other faucets. Let me know, Tom

Our system is individual, not a circular (continuous) system. Ours run individual manifolds to each faucet. -- so now that makes even less sense, doesn't it?

Sounds to me like you have a cold water connected to the hot water manafold. Have someone help you by turning on a cold water faucet in different locations in the house as you stand by the hot water manafold and see if one of the pipes at the manafold gets cool or cold.

Then let us know and we will go from there.

I agree with Letmetellu. You have a crossconnection where someone connected a cold water feed to a hot water manifold. Feel the hot water manifolds for a cold line.
When you feel it you will have found the culprit. Good luck, Tom
