stupid choices

I tried to fill a prescription that was not mine, that turned out to be a forged document.
I was refused, being told they were out of this medication at the time
I left went home and never tried again to fill. Realized it was wrong momentary laps in judgment.

I was charged with utter a forged document and impersonation another person.

I am 41 and have no previous criminal record.
I live in a town close to Ottawa Ontario.

Worried what kind of sentence I could get, because I am a care giver for my husband.

Any information I can get on this would be much appreciated.

You need an Attorney - depending on what the medication was, this could be very serious. In many cases the Pharmacy just keeps the prescription and tells you to leave - my husband was a Pharmacist, owned Pharmacies. For whatever reason the pharmacy you were dealing with called the Police.

You need an Attorney.
