Hey y'all! I've got a relatively new (1 year old) Trane xr13 here in Orlando and for some reason the A/C will not turn on after having no previous problems. My husband in the attic says the pan underneath the until is full of water - any guesses what to do?
Thanks!:

The drain line for the pan is clogged and needs unclogging.

Either the drain is plugged or the evap coil has frozen up. Do you see a safety float switch installed on the overflow pan?

Yes, the safety switch did flip which I suppose it why the A/Ct urned itself off. I appreciate the answers from both respondents!

The line was clogged (no.1 ), and the pan was emptied, plus we added some bleach after declogging the pipe.

:) Thank you!! Our A/C is on and running cold - and believe me, with 84% humidity and the temperature running in the 90's, it was a must have!
