You did not say which Volvo. Is it a 240, 740... etc. Probably is one of those - so there is a 700/900 series faq @ The Volvo Resource: brickboard.com (http://www.brickboard.com). Just use the dropbox where it says 'select shortcut' - upper right of main page.
Even if it is a 240 - the B230 4 cyl. Motors are all pretty much the same through most model years, so you should get an idea of what your problem is. If you can't find the answer in the FAQ's - get a username and make a post in the proper section.
