I have a 91 Accord that won't start. I initially thought the battery was dead so I jumped it, still nothing, complete silence, no clicking noise, nothing. Head lights are strong, dashboard lights up, radio works fine, looked at fuses under the hood and under the dash all OK. I replaced the main relay a few months ago. I give up, can anybody help?

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Visual inspections are not good enough. Be very thorough, since it will save a lot of time and money.

Jumping a modern-day car is playing Russian Roulette. An unexpected voltage spike can easily take out the ECM, alternator, and sensors. We have had our share of those experiences on this site. It's best to remove and fully charge a battery, which most auto parts stores will do for free.

If your lights are on and don't dim when you try to start, it's not your battery. It is your starter solenoid or starter. They come together so replace them both.
