My children's mother is currently in jail on pending charges for theft, burglery and selling drugs. She has been there for about 2.5 months. She stopped speaking and visiting with my children in about a year now by her choice and she only had supervised visition for 4 hours a week previously. My children just recently became aware of why she hasn't been visiting with during family therapy and they are aware that she is located in jail at this time. I need some opinions on my children visiting with their mother while she is in jail with a supervisor, possible their therapist. I am not sure how I feel about them seeing her like this and how it may affect them but my youngest really misses her and would like to see her. I don't know how much longer she could be in jail or where she would go when she gets out. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Children are age 12 and 13.
