My children live with me and I want to take them on holidays. Their father (is good with them)... and sees them every second weekend. He is re married but still very difficult with me.
The problem is, he hates the fellow I am involved with simply because he has been told to leave me alone by my current partner... and doesn't like to be 'told' anything.
Therefore, because of this he will not sign the consent letter in order to let me travel with my kids... if my partner is going.
Last year he made it very difficult for me and my mother to take the kids to Disneyland.
I don't want to have to be dragged through the mill every time I want to take my children on a nice holiday.
How does one go about getting a court order in order to allow me to travel without his consent. *I realize I would still have to advise him of our trips and whereabouts... ** and would have no problem doing so.
Is there a way to get this before a judge without having to spend a fortune on Lawyers.
I have a lawyer if I need one, who helped me with the divorce... but he is very expensive... and I would prefer to do whatever I can keeping costs down.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
