Me and my wife have entered into a lease to purchase agreement, and now my seller is wanting to make changes to our lease after we have both signed it,can he do this and be legal? Also the bank made a mistake on one of our checks and ran it twice resulting in a bounced check, the bank caught the incident and informed us that it was their fault but the seller still wanted us to pay 3 months in advance the sum of $4,890.00 in one week or be put out, we did this and now he have sent us 2 different changes to our lease... please give us some answeres to this problem...

What state are you in? It helps us to give you a more accurate answer.

The seller can make changes if you agree to them. What is s/he trying to change in the contract?

Also, if you're current on your payment, then the landlord has no grounds to terminate. They cannot request payment in advance; this is illegal. As long as you paid your rent/purchase amount and any fees that may have been caused by the bank's error(if the bank didn't pay them), then you have no reason to vacate.

Once a contract is signed, no one can change it without the other persons agreement. So he is stuck to the terms of this contract, the same as you are.

He can only require more payment if the contract states he can

Hello mr:

If you have a contract where the OTHER party is VIOLATING it, you need an attorney to enforce YOUR rights... I have a feeling that he's doing things the contract doesn't allow him to do.

If you continue to let him, you'll LOSE your home.
