View Full Version : Occasional Blower Problem

This is an Intertherm electric heat and A/C Model #FEH-015HA in a mobile home.

Last winter heat & blower would not come on and I replaced relay and heat and A/C worked OK.

Now, using heat, sometimes heat will come on but not blower. (Blower is on a time delay). Capaciter seems OK since it always comes on when thermostat is set to ON. One time when heat was on it wasn't as hot, and I found a 110 breaker had been switched to OFF.

The only visible parts are the relay and some type of connector box above it. The box above it doesn't appear to do anything but hook wires together. I don't know what else is inside the unit since I haven't torn into it.

I happened to have a new thermostat which I installed, but did not have enough time to fully test if the problem continued with it.

Do you think I just need to replace the relay again? Or something else?

Photo 1 is relay.
Photo 2 is box above relay and relay.

Thanks for your help.

I think the green wire is 24 volts from the thermostat in the on position, small red is 24 volts from the timer, blue is common back to the transformer, the large black 120 volts in, and the large red goes to the blower. If you have 24 volts on the small red, the relay should operated and switch the power from the black to the large red. If you have power to the small red , and not to the large one, the relay is bad. If you don't have power to the small red, the timer is bad. You are lucky both aren't on a big buck circuit board.

Where would the timer be?

It could be the other box, or at the other end of the yellow wire to it.
