I have a heating controler I got it is a white rodgers type 1f85-275 need to know if I hook up 120v to it or is it 24v and what wires go where can you help me dave

Also that is a 24 volt thermostat. You hook a 120 volts to it and it is fried.

You have a low-voltage (24v) : 2 Heat/ 2 Cool thermostat, did it not come with instructions? If not you should be able to Google w/r tstats with the correct model number and find a instruction manual
