My 12 year old rottweiler won't eat anything and has an infection according to the vet. I have been given medicne for his infection and they gave him steroids to get him moving again. But he still will only move if being forced to though he will still not eat. Is there something I can do to get him to eat?

Steroids normally give them an appetite, so this strange. Is he drinking water ? I would call the vet, but he could only say give him time on the medicine (for the infection ?) and the steroids.

Yes, he has been drinking lots of water. And I guess I'll just wait and hope he will eat later. Thanks for the reply Tickle.

One item you should know. Steroids produce a lot of urine if on 3 of those pills a day. So, if he sleeps on your bed, discourage it. He may wake up in a puddle.
Not his fault, don't chastise him if this happens in the house. He doesn't know.
Call the vet and ask if you can reduce the dosage if he is urinating too much.

My Golden retriever is 7 weeks old, he did not want to eat and he has a loose stomach, like diaree.

Please do not piggyback on other people questions, especially ones where the person asking the question has just had to deal with some very bad news.
If your puppy has had diarreah for more than 2 days then it needs to see a vet.
7 weeks is also too young for you to have that puppy, puppies are re-homed at 8 weeks if you buy from a reputable breeder, doing so earlier is illegal in most states.
razac, I am so sorry to hear about your Rotti... 12 years is a good innings for this breed, don't feel bad.
