What sort of worldly possessions do you have to leave to anyone? House, cars, bank accounts, savings accounts, stocks? And what is the total amount in dollars?

First who dies first, if your wife is still alive at your death, she would get most, and then if she dies after you, her heirs get it.
And if she dies first, it works in reverse.
So why not write a will??

I aways thought that she would get every thing!
Does there have to be one?

A will is a very simple thing to draw up. This way if you both have children they will be taken care of in the will's stipulated clauses.
If you have a lot of possessions and investments why not spend the money to get a will drawn up? If you don't have anything that needs to be divvied up, then why bother.
Your children are the ones who will have to sort out everything if you both go at once say in an accident.
