Can anyone give me any information on the artist L E Forse
I know he painted bluebell walk... which appears to be the only info I can find on the web
I have inherited an original oil painting clearly signed L E Forse
Its of a rolling hillside in the background & a country lane with a little house to left on it
I don't know the name of the painting.

Here is a Christies sale of another of his paintings. For some reason they don't have a photo of the painting but the Artnet photo is of the same painting. I couldn't find anything else.

The painting is called 'Eventide', I have it hanging in my conservatory, it's badly faded by the constant bright sunlight, I've been trying for years to get another copy.

Hope this helps

Hi, I've bought a painting "The Watermill" signed by L.E. Forse. All I know about the artist is that one of his paintings “Landscape with Tree” was owned by the Museum of South Somerset and another his work “Evening gold” was sold at Christie's auction. I am interested with L.E. Forse autobiography. Besides, I would like to know what his works mentioned above are worth.

I have the same print that you describe,(36' x 24') mounted on board backing, and am looking to re-frame it. Have you any idea how much a well framed print of this painting would sell for?
