I have an 1845 sq ft house with east and west facing windows (more on the east side). I have received quotes for a Carrier 3.5 ton 25HCB542A003/FV4BNB006T00 combination system with 10yr parts and labor warranty for $6478 (after FPL $685 rebate and Carrier $150 rebate) and one with a 10yr/1yr warranty for $5575. I also received a quote for a Trane 3 ton 4TTZ0036A1000A/4TEE3C04A1000A/TCONT900AC43UA combination for $5221 after rebates. Which system is better for my home? Is the warranty worth the extra money (Trane offered a 10yr labor for $450 more)?

Thanks!

Do a little homework,, find out which company has the best rep. on installation,, a good install is worth the extra bucks if that is what it takes,, a correct install can be a big plus ,of coarse warranty is important also,, as for myself I would rather have the carrier, over the trane, but that's just one thought
