I guess it would depend on the felony. Say, if you have a felony for theft, then you wouldn't be applying to work in a bank; or if it were assault then you wouldn't be training for a job as a security person. What type of felony was it ?

No.

There ARE certain classes of people who DO have legal protections against discrimination. Exconvicts aren't one of them.

Discrimination is against your race, religion, etc. It has nothing to do whatsoever with being a felon. Being a felon can bar you from lots of jobs - even working in a factory!
