1 -s = 6 - 6s

I got the answer s = -1, but I'm not sure I'm right...

I'd double-check my calculations. In particular, remember that negative./neg. = pos.

Yes the answer is 1.

Yep agreed, doing it in your head, subtract 6 from each side, -5-S = -6S. Now take away one -S from each side and you have -5 = -5S

You can always check your work:

1-1=6-6(1) ---> 0 =0 therefore the answer of 1 is correct
