Hi there,

My question is in regards of a 1988 1.5L Fuel Injected Honda Civic.

My car ended up submurged nosed-in, in 1-1.5 feet of water, for 10-15 minutes

I tried to gun it forward to get it out, not luck, and then I tried to reverse it, no luck again.

I was stuck in the water for appox 5 min before a passer by towed me out of the river, which took another 10 minutes.

The car was running in the water before she died. After getting out of the water I tried to start it up again, no luck. I looked over the engine as best as I could, when I had noticed that it was getting no spark.

I got the car towed home, left it for a few days to dry, hoping that would fix the issus, once again NO SUCH LUCK...

When I do turn it over I do smell gas so that is not an issue there, and there are no leak marks to be found.

I have check and changed;

Checked: Air Filter, Spark Plugs, Wiring, All Basic Fuses, Water in Oil (none).

Changed: Dis Cap/Roter and Spark Plug Wires

I am looking for help on obtaining check list to see where the loss of spark is coming from.

I have also noticed people talking about Error Codes, what are they talking about and would that be a benefit to my case?

Can you help me :confused:?

. Test all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Be very thorough, since it can save a lot of time and money.

. Perform tests, in Sections 1 and 2, below:

Be sure to perform the Check Engine Light tests and the K-Test on the ECM.
