So the hot water in my bath tub has gradually slowed down, now it hardly comes out at all. We replaced the stem and seat and it didn't help. It's only in the tub and only the hot water side, any idea's?

Take the hot side stem out again, then turn supply water on, see if the pressure is better with the stem removed. Please let us know. Lee.

When we take the stem out the water shoots across the tub, then when we put it back it trickles out again?

We replaced the stem and seat and it didn't help Are you sure you replaced with the correct stem? It sounds a tad long. Was the old stem a replacement? Let me know, Tom

I'm not sure if the old stem was a replacement or not, we've only lived in the house about 18 months. But the stem on that side looks the same as the cold water side?

When we first moved in we just had reaaly low pressure and over time it got lower and now it just trickles like not even enough to make a stream of water.

Sounds like either the stem is not the correct one, or the valve body is plugged between the stem port and spout. This can be tricky. You can take the stem out once again, then use a flashlite to look in and see if you can clean out any buildup. You might want to start thinking about replacing the complete faucet.

Good choice. Now, we will need to know what type of water pipes you have connected to shower faucet. Also is it a two handle or three handle faucet. Do you want to replace with the same style faucet, or would you like to switch to a single handle faucet? If you can post some pics of the faucet you have now, it will help. Lee.
