Our Hunter ceiling fan (Tiffany Charmaine Model 28425) fell from a 9-foot ceiling and broke the glass globe and 2 blades. My husband thinks he may not have tightened the "set screw." The motor and arms appear undamaged. Before I invest in a new set of blades and a globe, what are the chances that the motor is OK and that the fall didn't cause damage that would affect the balance? Not sure how else to phrase this. My husband is concerned that it might not balance properly and wobble, and that we need to replace all the blades or it will not balance properly. Also, does length of the replacement blades matter? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Remove all of the blades. See if there is any binding. You don't need the blades or the globe to determine if it works.

The blades and the globe would have cushioned the fall. Put it back up without blades and globe and see if it works.

If the motor still spins freely it should be repairable. Hunter Fan - Ceiling Fans, Air Purifiers, Humidifiers, Thermostats (http://www.hunterfan.com) for replacement parts, call don't email.
