Hi everybody,

I'm Lena, 28 years old. I have very painful periods and it bleeds very less during menstruation. My body starts aching 3-4 days before menses and it lasts till the end. I have been facing this problem for last one year and with this pain my weight is also increasing rapidly and I got hair growth on my face. I am very much worried about this I don't know the cause of it. If anyone of you can suggest me any solution then it would be a great help.

Thanks and regards.

Are you on the contrapective pill?

You need to visit your doctor. This could be due to the pill if you are on it, or it could be more hormonal in nature.

It is important that you go to the doctor to get a hormone workup.

Agree with J_9 - you are at the right age for Stein - Levinthal Syndrome - most commonly known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) - and some of the symptoms and findings you describe are suspicious. Not only does PCOS affect your periods, it can cause other serious problems as well - infertility, diabetes and possibly increased risks for breast and uterine cancer. You need to see your gynecologist as soon as possible. If you do happen to have PCOS, the sooner you are treated - the less likely you will be to develop serious complications...
