I'm starting my new job tomorrow. It is my first job ever. I am really worried, because I am closing the store for the first time on my first day. I told my boss that I was not ready to do that by myself yet, but she still insisted on me doing it. I'm so worried that I will mess up. I'm making myself sick over it. I was just wondering if anybody had any advice for me to help me feel a little bit better. I've never done anything like this before, and I'm just really scared. Thanks.

Take a deep breath, if it was actually hard, he would not have a new person do it. ( honestly) Just listen to what he says and make notes and do what you are suppose to do.

We all make mistakes, any boss knows and accepts it as long as we learn from our mistakes

You don't say what closing the store entails. It could be as simple as making sure the doors are locked, the gates are down and the lights shut off. Or it could be more complicated like setting alarms, balancing the register, etc.

Frankly, I really can't see an employer assigning this task to a new employee if it wasn't simple. So I would, as Chuck suggested, make detailed notes of the procedure, have her check those notes, then follow them carefully.
